Pasting / Bukram
Bukram / Fusible Interfacing
Heat-fusible or stiff woven interfacing for necklines and collars
Tailoring Drafting Rule
Use heat-fusible paper pasting for curved necklines to ensure clean, crisp rolls.
What is Bukram & Pasting?
Bukram and Fusible Pasting are structural interfacing materials sandwiched between outer and facing fabrics to give crisp shape to necklines, collars, and hems.
- Paper Pasting (Fusible): Coated with thermal adhesive on one side that bonds upon hot iron application. Ideal for curved designer necklines.
- Woven Bukram: Stiffer canvas used for salwar ankle bands (Mohri) and shirt collars.
